Terms, privacy, and liability
Clear, protective policies for families. These apply to curriculum purchases and Homeschool Hub usage.
Terms of Service
Acceptance. By purchasing Little Oat curriculum or using the Homeschool Hub, you agree to these Terms.
Eligibility and Supervision. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or access premium features of this software. This platform is intended for use by adults, including parents, educators, and caregivers, to support learning activities with children. The software is not designed for independent use by children. Adult users are solely responsible for supervising a child's use of any content generated through the platform and for reviewing all generated materials before use. All generated content is provided as a support tool only and should be reviewed and adapted by the adult user prior to use with children.
License for curriculum. Files are licensed for the purchasing household or classroom only. Do not resell, repost, or redistribute. Printing and modest adaptations for your learners are allowed.
Account security. Keep login credentials private. If you suspect unauthorized access, notify us immediately so we can secure your account.
Payments and renewals. Curriculum purchases are one-time. Premium SaaS capabilities renew on the stated billing cycle until you cancel. Cancellations stop future charges right away.
Service availability. The Homeschool Hub is provided “as is.” We strive for uptime but may pause access for maintenance or improvements.
Liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Little Oat disclaims warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose and limits liability for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Use of curriculum and software is at your discretion.
Educational responsibility. Parents and guardians remain responsible for meeting local education requirements and supervising learners.
Privacy Policy
What we collect. Account contact details, secure passwords, optional learner information you enter, and basic analytics to improve the app. No advertising trackers.
Children's Privacy. Our software is designed for use by adults (18 years of age or older), including parents, educators, and caregivers, to create and guide learning activities for children. We do not knowingly collect, use, or store personal information from children under the age of 13. Children may engage with content generated through the platform only under the supervision of an adult account holder. If we become aware that personal information from a child under 13 has been collected, we will promptly delete such information. Adult users are responsible for ensuring that any content shared with children is appropriate and used in a supervised setting.
How we use data. To deliver purchased curriculum, operate the Homeschool Hub, provide support, and send essential service notices.
Sharing. We do not sell personal data. Third-party services are limited to secure infrastructure and payment processing.
Your controls. You may request data export or deletion at any time. Deleting premium subscriptions stops future billing immediately.
Security. Data is encrypted in transit and stored using industry-standard practices. Access is limited to essential personnel.
Retention. We retain data only as long as necessary to provide services or meet legal obligations, then delete or de-identify it.
